Today was Amelia's 18 month doctor visit. Everything is looking great.. And tiny. She FINALLY weighs 20.1 lbs, which is what the average 12 month old weighs. That puts her in the 5th percentile for weight, then she's in the 50th percentile for height, and the 10th for head circumference. If you didn't quite catch that, I said the FIFTH percentile for weight. What I'm trying to say is that her cousin Will needs to rub off a little on her.
In other news, we have taken the beloved sippy cup away at nap time and bedtime. It's been needing to happen for a long time now, but we've been putting it off because we're lazy. :) It actually happened by default, because we lost both her cups! One had been lost for about 5 days, and then one morning I gave the other one to her and by nap time it was no where to be found! So I said, "Today is the day!" and we haven't looked back since (that was 3 days ago.) We were pretty much unwilling to fight the battle, but actually, it hasn't been too bad! Ok, that's kind of a lie. It's really hard to listen to her cry for an hour to get to sleep, but she's slept through the night both nights so far! And as I sit here and write this, it only took her about 5 minutes of crying to go to sleep tonight! Yay. Wish us luck that we're on a smooth path to better sleep for all of us (including when we travel.) :)
Tonight our friend called and invited us to go to a baby gymnastics class with her and her 2 year old daughter. What could be cuter than an 18 month old doing gymnastics?? Nothing! Of course we said yes. Well, it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies, if ya know what I'm sayin'. I think we need about 6 more months for Amelia to fully grasp what's going on. Tonight she pretty much wanted to run around like a crazy lady. But, Jonathan was able to catch this video from the observation room:

She is tiny! Gymnastics looks like fun too. I keep wondering when Kalena will be old enough to appreciate stuff like that.
Elsha- just judging by watching tonight, Kalena would do great right now!! She would have loved doing everything we did tonight! I'd say go for it! But definitely take pictures in her leotard because you KNOW her butt cheek will hang out! Hahaha.
Who's the little kid talking in the video?
Laura- the girl that invited us to go has a 3 year old son, it's him that's talking. I never listened to what hw says but he's a pretty funny kid.
