A Trip Home

Jonathan and I got to take a trip to Grand Junction last weekend. My parents had an open house for us, which we later realized was so nice of them after everything they had already done for us with the wedding!! It was good to go home, besides the feeling of "being home" we had lots of family in town that we don't get to hang out with that often. My Grandma Smiley was there, and it was the first time that the 3 new babies got to be together. They are just the cutest! I love them all! Here they are together. Patrick (Pj), Kalena, and Espen.

Disneyland

At our rehersal dinner Jonathan surprised me with a T-shirt (which was very confusing) and this envelope. Inside the envelope was 2 park-hopper tickets to Disneyland!! I know to you Cali people Disneyland isn't that exciting, but to us Coloradens it's pretty special. Jonathan had never been there and he knows it's just about my favorite place on earth so what a great surprise!

There's my day old, sleeping on a plane and a bus, walking around Disneyland wedding hair :)

Day 1: Got up at 4:30 am to catch our flight at DIA at 6:30 am. Arrived at LAX about 7:45 am and took the shuttle to Disneyland. By the time we checked into the hotel and made our way to Downtown Disney for some breakfast we both felt like an entire day had already gone by. But no, it was only like, 10 am!! Spent the day at Disneyland, which is definitely the happiest, and most crowded place on earth!

Day 2: got up and ate breakfast at Goofy's kitchen. Amazing food, great atmosphere, a little pricy!! No wonder we never stayed at the Disneyland hotel as kids!!

Headed off to California Adventure. This was Jonathan's favorite of the 2 parks. I guess thrill rides are more fun than Fantasyland.. ?? We spent the day park hopping to finish up all the rides that we missed the day before.

Day 3: Headed over to Downtown Disney to finish up a few things we wanted to do. We bought some souvenirs for Jonathan's family, none of who have been there!! Then we got a characiture of the two of us, grabbed a churo and headed back to catch the shuttle. A fast but wonderful way to spend the first 3 days of marriage.

Our Wedding

We're married!!! We're really sad that not everyone from our family could come, but there's always Hawaii!! We're way excited for that! Jonathan's never been there so we plan on packing our days full of fun things, like, laying on the beach :) Anyway~ we're married! I still can't believe it. But those pictures definitely prove it. :) And it's been wonderful for the first week.

I promise we will try to get better in the future, because we really do have lots of excited things to share!! We are SO excited that this Friday is our wedding!!!! We wish all of our family could make it, but we'll see ya all in Hawaii, which we are also SO excited about!!!
