Estes Park, 2011

We just got home from another wonderful Gustavson family reunion in Estes Park, CO. I had never been there before, even though I've lived in Colorado my whole life. It's such a beautiful little town nestled in the mountains. I hope we get to go back someday. Here are some of my favorite pictures:

The cousins

Chewing on a piece of straw

I love Patrick's expression

By the fire roasting smores

Checking out the river

The kids playing with my iPhone

Cutie Eli

This is what happens when I tell her to give me big pretty smiles.. not so sure that was the look I was going for.

We had such a wonderful time, and now that we're home we are SO BORED without people around all the time. Anyway~ I can't wait to scrapbook all these cute pictures!

Bathroom is DONE!

Our upstairs bathroom is done! Yay! We are so excited that our house projects are getting completed! There are some things that we would do to the house if we planned on living here forever, but since we don't, I think we're almost done with our renovations! Jonathan has put in SO much work, and I am so grateful for everything he does, and how pretty he makes our house. As you remember, this is what the bathroom looked like before:

Doors on the shower, blue linoleum, bulky sink, and small tile around all the walls and in the shower

All of our junk on shelves in the corner got moved downstairs.

On to the new one...

First the fun part.. tearing it all down!

And in the process Jonathan found this behind the mirror. Think it was time for an update?!?

After we painted the walls tan, Jonathan, Justin and I tiled the floor

Back went the toilet and a new, not bulky sink

Then Jonathan tiled the entire shower all by himself!

Back went the fixtures and a beautiful new shower curtain and we are up and running! I am SO SO happy with the way it turned out!

Next we are going to get a roll off and start tearing up our deck and our backyard!

Popcorn

We have just enjoyed a sort-of surprise visit from Kirsta, Joe and co. It was mostly a surprise to us because it was a surprise to them when Joe's car crapped out on them. So they called and said, "May we please have the eclipse?" And I said, "YES!! Please take it!" And they said, "Ok how about tomorrow?" :) And so we got a visit from them. It's always a good time with them, but usually we're really bad about taking any pictures. This time I was able to snap a few cute ones while we were getting our popcorn ready to watch America's Funniest Home Videos.

Watching it cook

Discussing how yummy it will be

4th of July

I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day! We had a great day, although I was jealous of everyone that got a long weekend. Around here Jonathan still had to work on Saturday and Monday, so it didn't feel too much like a holiday. Amelia and I started our day with a breakfast at the church which me and 6 other girls sang "America the Beautiful" and "My Country Tis Of Thee" at. Then we headed over to Melody and Tom's house for a yummy lunch of ribs and corn and fruit salad. Let me interrupt myself really quick and say all this food would've been MUCH more enjoyable if this stupid cold that I have hadn't taken away my ability to smell and taste. So I'm just assuming it was all yummy. I digress. After lunch we came home and Amelia and I both slept for 3 hours! It was awesome. When Jonathan got home at 5:30 we headed over to my friend Janette and Jeremy's house for a bbq with lots of friends. A wonderful day!

Not too sure about this day

This is what happens when you tell her to give you big pretty smiles

Also, a month from the 4th Amelia will be 2! WHAT?!?
