Rockies Game

Yesterday Jonathan and I had the pleasure of going to Denver for a Rockies/Padres game. We had a great time! I was great weather, which was a little unfortunate for me because I think of 72 degrees as nice, not hot, so I wore a 3/4 sleeved shirt, jeans and closed toed shoes. Then I almost died of heat exhaustion. Also, while getting ready for the day I was so concentrated on what the weather was going to be like and not the fact that there is a sun in the sky, we didn't put on or bring any sunscreen, so my forearms and neck fried! I think about 100 people today said, "Looks like you got a little sun." Really?? Anyway~ we had fun. The Rockies won 7-5, so it was a good game to attend. Here we are, having fun!

You like that smile of mine? Yea, I know

Update

I had another doc appointment the other day. Everything is looking great. I've gained 14 pounds, which is right on track for 24 weeks, I just wish I didn't carry it in my face! The thing that I find most interesting about pregnancy is that one day I feel like, "oh crap, I only have four months left and I have ALL this stuff to get done!!" And then the next day I feel like, "Ugh, I have FOUR freaking months left of this and the days just don't go by fast enough." You just never know what kind of day is going to be. I started into my 6th month yesterday. My goal for the next 4 weeks is to really enjoy pregnancy. Look cute, wear heals, be comfortable, because I'm afraid that my last two months I might feel like a balloon, or look like a balloon, and those days won't be my favorite.
Also, Jonathan and I bought a new mattress and box springs yesterday. I'm super stoked. Recently we hadn't been getting good sleep, and we just figured it was because we weren't good sleepers. We actually didn't really think too much of it. Then when we went on vacation we slept SO well!! We realized it was because we were sleeping on more firm beds and the other person rolling around wasn't waking us up. So we (hopefully) fixed our problem with a firm mattress. Which is good news for all of you, because now you can come visit and you have a bed to sleep on!!
That's all for today. Here's a picture of me today before we went to the Springs!

A lack of wisdom

Teeth that is. That's right, Jonathan enjoyed the wonderful experience of getting his wisdom teeth out yesterday. He did great! I was going to post before and after pictures, but nothing changed!! No swelling, no bruising, no nothin. He slept for about 2 hours when we got home and then when he woke up he tried to eat a yogurt but it was pretty painful. So, we watched 2 movies and he iced his cheeks and then Presto!, all better. Then he ate a yogurt, a package of ramen noodles, a bowl of cream of wheat and a milkshake and was still hungry! Today he's had no problems except being grumpy because he feels fine but knows he can't have solid foods and that makes a grown man hungry and GRUMPY. Anyway~ I'm happy that they're out, and that everything went so smoothly. And hopefully he retained a little of his wisdom :)

Some days..

This morning started off a little (to say the least) rough for Jonathan. He had to get up at 4 to meet one of his managers at work at 4:45 to make it to Denver by 7 for a meeting. At about 1:15 he woke up because he had to go to the bathroom. Then when he got back to bed he couldn't sleep, and he was hungry, so he got up, (by this time is 2:25), to eat a bowl of cereal. Then he came back to bed, tried to go back to sleep, and was unsuccessful, who knows why! So he finally just got up and read his book until it was time to get ready. Then, as if he wasn't already aggravated enough, when he went to leave, his car wouldn't start!! He tried to jump it with my car, and after after 6 unsuccessful tries it finally started but wouldn't stay on whenever he took his foot off the gas. And this was all by 4:40am!! Sheesh. Anyway~ he ended up driving my car to Denver, which was fine because I had the day off work, and right now he's online looking at the price of a new alternator for his car. Hopefully tonight he'll be able to sleep, poor guy.

P.S. I do realize that all of you guys are about to comment, "well, he better get used to sleepless nights with a baby on the way!" And I understand that. It just sucked because there's no baby yet, and it was a thing and a thing and a thing. :( Moral of the story: when it rains, it pours.

It's a...

GIRL!!! We got our ultrasound this afternoon and found out we are having a girl! Hopefully now there's not actually a lil penis hiding in there somewhere!! The doc said based on all my measurements I should be 22 weeks and 2 days right now, which would push up my due date by 4 days and make it Aug 4th. I don't know how much I buy into all that date-changing because babies don't even come on their due dates!! So we'll say between the 4th and the 8th is the E.T.A. She weighs 1 lb 1 oz today, and is a mover and a shaker!! Here are some pictures we got today. Hopefully you guys can see them, because I really kind of hate looking at other people's ultrasound pics when you can't see what you're supposed to!
This is her face looking at it as if she were down below you. Her head is on the left. you can see one black spot that in an eye, and then her nose in the middle and the black hole is her mouth open. She kept opening it and closing it, as if she were eating, which is what she ALWAYS wants to do. Feeeed me!!

This is a hard one. In this one, you are the toilet, she is sitting on the toilet and you're looking up at her. The black hole on the right hand side is my bladder. Pressed up against that is her bum and those are two legs sticking out from that. In the middle there is a white slit that is apparently her v-jay. I know, it hard to see. Sorry. We got like, 10 different pics so I'll show you all in person.

Here I am tonight, 21ish weeks. :) I wish he wouldn't have changed that on me!
