Yea, we're cool

Literally.

Before:

After:

With my body growing bigger by the day, it's gettin' a little toasty. For the first time in my life, air conditioned places feel good to me! I've never been warm like I am now. I am thinking that a winter pregnancy is sounding good for next time! My feet and hands are starting to swell, and I get overheated easily and then I feel sick, so we're trying to keep cool. A ceiling fan was just what we needed for our bedroom, and lucky for me, my husband is so handy he had it installed in just a few minutes. We love it!

Hangin' with the Jacobs

One of mine and Jonathan's favorite things to do is hang out with family. We find it enjoyable that Kirsta and Joe live relatively close to us and we are able to get together with them fairly often. I was so excited that they got to come visit us for Memorial Day/ my birthday! Here are some of my favorite pics from the weekend, besides the ones that Kirsta already posted, which were 3 of my favs. :)

Although this isn't the best picture ever taken, I just think it's crazy how big PJ is! He's a real boy!

Playing horse with Uncle Jonathan

I love this one with the scratches on his forehead and the cherry Dr. Pepper running down his chin! haha.

There seems to be a common denominator in these.. I love that kid :)

I can't wait to see everyone so soon! We have to take lots of pictures, because it seems I am lacking in the Kalena and Espen dept. Love you guys!!

Getting older and fatter

Today is my 24th birthday. Hooray! Actually, I'm not a big fan of my birthday, but I guess Hooray anyway! Kirsta, Joe and PJ came down to Pueblo this weekend to help me celebrate, so we had a lot of fun together. Here are some pictures of us yesterday and Melody and Tom's house for the celebration.

Happy Mother's Day!

I just wanted to wish everyone out there a Happy Mother's Day, and pay a small tribute to some special mother's that I know.

My sisters:
God could not be everywhere, so he created mothers. ~Jewish Proverb

My Mother-in-law:
"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie." ~Tenneva Jordan

My Grandmas:
"What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies." ~Rudolph Giuliani

And the most important one to me, my Mother:
"Most of all the other beautiful things in life come by twos and threes, by dozens and hundreds. Plenty of roses, stars, sunsets, rainbows, brothers and sisters, aunts and cousins, comrades and friends - but only one mother in the whole world." ~Kate Douglas Wiggin

And then there's me, not a mother yet, but soon to be. I can't wait!
"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new." ~Rajneesh

Fort Collins

This past weekend Jonathan and I had the pleasure of going to Fort Collins to visit Kirsta and Joe and of course PJ. We had a great time!! As Kirsta mentioned, the weather wasn't too great, but we enjoyed relaxing all weekend with them at their apartment. The Melting Pot was SO delicious, thanks guys!! I especially had a good time playing with my Mr. Man. He sure does love his mom, but I think he has a special place for me too. I thought I would dedicate this blog to him, and post some cute pictures of him because, well, that's about all I took pictures of! Here he is holding on to mom's pants for dear life. This is my favorite picture of him. He looks like he'd be saying, "Hey guys, whatcha watchin' on YouTube?" As if there's nothing odd about him wearing my shoes. Haha Here is a cute video of him riding the horse that G-ma and G-pa got him for Christmas. He really loves that thing! He always only wants to hear the beginning of the same song, but usually he doesn't have orange juice in his hand and he really gets to rockin'!

I can't believe it's already the 5th of May!! This year has sure flown by already, and I imagine it's not going to slow down any time soon! I only have about 50 days until I get to quit my job, WooHoo! After that we're Texas bound for some fun family time, and then our Amelia will be here in no time and our lives will be forever changed. Whenever I get to hang out with my niece and nephews I realize how much fun it's going to be to have one of our own. I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day! Catch ya later
