March

I'm super excited that March is here in 2 days! I can't believe how fast February flew by, as it usually does. Funny how much difference 3 days does to a month. I'm excited for March for a couple reasons. 1st and foremost, it means warmer weather!! I can't wait to bust out my spring clothes, and start wearing some cute maternity clothes! 2nd, I get to go to Junction to see my friends and family. Which also means I get a couple days off work; VERY thrilled about that. I haven't gotten to go back home for a while and just chill. I can't wait to see you Mom an Dad!! It'll be great. And the 3rd reason I'm excited about March is because Jonathan and I are going on our "baby moon," and cruising to Jamaica. I can't wait!! Jonathan has never been on a cruise so hopefully the poor economy hasn't like, forced the cruise lines to serve mac and cheese for dinner due to low traveling :( That would be pretty awful. We are flying out on Friday the 13th so wish us luck please! I am so looking forward to the upcoming events and this year steadily marches on. Here's the most recent pic of me at 16 weeks:

Valentine's Day

I know that Valentine's Day is a made up holiday by Hallmark, and I get that it's only fun and cool if you have a "sweetheart," but I do! So I like it. :) Last year we got engaged on Valentine's Day, so it has a little bit more meaning to us. This year, months in advance, Jonathan made reservations for us at the Melting Pot, which I was really excited about because I've never been there! Then, even though I told him no flowers, he sent flowers to me at work.

AW. He's the greatest, right?

So, last night we got ready and headed up to the Springs for a wonderful dinner.

Here's how it went:
1st course:
The waitress came out and "made" our cheese for us. A mix of grated Swiss cheese, garlic, white wine, and pesto, sprinkled on top with Parmesan and walnuts. She gave us 3 different types of bread, carrots, celery and cauliflower and granny smith apples to dip in it. Delicious.
2nd course:
A Mediterranean salad with Greek olives and artichokes and their own yummy dressing.
(I chose this one over the ceasar salad!!!) Good choice.
3rd course:
We chose the "Mojo" style cooking for our meats. It was the more Caribbean flavored one. They brought out a plate with tons of raw meats: beef, pork, duck, chicken, lobster tail, shrimp, and raviolis. They also gave us sliced broccoli, potatoes and mushrooms. Then to dip all this stuff they brought like, 20 dipping sauces out! I tried a lot of them but nothing beats the tried and true garlic butter on EVERYTHING! :)
4th course:
We chose the plain dark chocolate for dipping. They had lots of different kinds of chocolate to choose from but I didn't think everything would taste good dipped in "cookies n cream." They brought out a plate with pound cake, rice crispy treats, brownies, strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, and marshmallows. Oh my, was it a lot of food!!!
We had a great time! It's all an experience. I recommend it to anyone who has never been. Here's a picture of us getting ready to go.

I hope everyone had as great a Valentine's Day day as we had!!!

I miss my babies

I don't know what it is, but recently I've super duper missed my niece and nephews. Jonathan probably thinks I'm crazy because I'll come out of nowhere and say "I wonder what Missy is doing." He's like, "uhhhm, sleeping?" LOL. I just miss all my babies. Maybe my pregnancy is making me extra hormonal, hahahah duh. So, what you guys need to do is 1) post more pics of them so I can talk to them on my computer and 2) come visit!!

14 Weeks

One trimester down, two more to go!! Yay. It's a relief to have the 1st trimester over because that's the "scary stage" when things are more likely to go wrong, even though I haven't "felt pregnant" for many weeks now so I always wonder if something IS wrong, hehe. It's kind of funny because in the very begining of my pregnancy I bought a pregnancy journal to write in week by week. On each week is has spaces to write about your Energy, Mood, Appetite, Cravings, Sickness and then Notes. Every week I struggle to come up with different things to say in each one because what I'm really thinking is Good, Good, Starving, None, and None. But of course I can't keep writing that! Needless to say, it's not the most interesting pregnancy journal anyone's ever kept!! :) I'm starting to get a little belly. It's easy to cover by wearing the right shirts, but sometimes I stick to the plain fitted shirts while they still fit and then people just think I had a large lunch. I have one pair of jeans that might be the first to retire for a little while, otherwise everything still fits comfortably. I laugh every time I look at the pictures Jonathan takes of me because I look totally different in a profile picture than when I'm looking down on myself. For the first time in my life my boobs look to me like they have some substance, and when I look down on my belly it's nice and round and pooches out just enough for 14 weeks. But in the pictures it looks like I'm flat from my neck to my hips. Lame. I can't wait until it is more distinguishable. I know this isn't the most well written paragraph, I'm just sort of jotting down what's on my mind. Here's a picture taken a couple days ago, 1 day shy of 14 weeks.

He jumped...

That's right, Jonathan jumped on the bandwagon. That would be the 'everyone needs a tv as big as their wall' bandwagon. So, for his birthday, after MUCH research of which brand, what kind, how big, what features, blah blah, we bought a 50' Samsung DLP tv. It's beautiful.

Here's the old, heavy, fat, I can't believe we still watch this thing, tv :)

And the new one:

So Happy birthday babe! The rest of you, besides Elsha and Brian, because they hopped on that bandwagon a LONG time ago, need to come watch a movie! :)
